September 1965 fiel der Startschuss zum Beat-Club, der ersten Jugendsendung im deutschen Fernsehen und heute eine echte Legende der Musik- und TV-Geschichte. In den kommenden Jahren traten die angesagtesten Stars der damaligen Musikszene in Bremen auf und zahlreiche internationale Karrieren fanden im Studio 3 ihren Anfang.

Mode, Musik, Politik und Gesellschaft - der Beat-Club hat die Jugendkultur der sechziger und siebziger Jahre in Deutschland zum Ausdruck gebracht und mitgeprägt. Damit lieferte Radio Bremen viel mehr als nur eine Musiksendung, der Beat-Club war eine Lebenseinstellung und gleichzeitig Spiegel einer Gesellschaft im Umbruch.

Zwischen 1965 und 1972 produzierte Radio Bremen 80 original Beat-Club-Sendungen, die in dieser exklusiven Jubiläumsedition digital überarbeitet enthalten sind.
