A manege was just the right stage for this extra-class rock spectacle. On December 11, 1968, the Rolling Stones in their original cast (so still with the deceased the following year Brian Jones) loaded in their big "Rock'n Roll Circus". There they themselves celebrated band classics such as "Sympathy For The Devil", "Jumpin 'Jack Flash" and "You Can not Always Get What You Want" and listened to guests such as Yoko Ono, Taj Mahal, The Who, Marianne Faithful and Jethro Tull as well the specially formed for this show band around Keith Richards, John Lennon (aka Dirty Mac), Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix drummer Mitch Mitchell. The documentary, filmed by director Michael Lindasy Hogg for a TV special, is now released for the first time on DVD in 5.1 Mix, of course with extensive bonus material. These include comments by the director and many participating artists, as well as a previously unseen track by Dirty Mac (aka John Lennon), three previously unreleased songs by Taj Mahal, and a Sympathy For The Devil video in the Fatboy Slim remix. Of course you can also see Feuerschlucker. We are finally in the circus ....!
