The spectacular Super Show I do my thing was the most opulent and most successful tour, which Udo Lindensberg has ever conducted by the Republic. In a huge Zeppelin he floated down onto the stage and then had follow good two and a half hours befitting panic-rock. The completely sold-out tour did provide everything that the fan could ask for: An excellent repertoire which consisted only of Lindensberg -Hits, a colorful and action-packed stage show, which was followed by a climax after another, a whole series of prestigious guest musicians and not least an audience that greeted each song as a good friend with jubilation and euphoria. Never Udo Lindensberg was as big as today, and last year's tour is expected to be not only the highlight of his career, but also the culmination of the German rock and his stage presentation.

With I do my thing - this show presents director Sven Haeusler now the nearly 160-minute recording of the show that brings the intense atmosphere of Lindensberg concerts close to the fan. The recording shows everything that Hannes Ross Aher tour documentary with Udo Lindenberg on Tour: Germany in March 2012 - A road movie could not show that the constant action on stage, the full-length songs, guest appearances close and the panic fever in audience. All this, again itself to be in a picture and sound that makes you feel it.

On the tour Udo Lindenberg unpacked his greatest treasures of forty years of German rock career: From the "Honky Tonky Show" about "I do not love you" and "Until the End of the World" bin to current hits like "quite different "and" Life "he brought everything at the start, what has made him a cult figure of the Republic. He was accompanied by sensational guests: Jan Delay, Clueso and the singers Nathalie Dorra and Josephin Busch made for several duet highlights, even Stefan Raab sat down for two songs on drums. The work is completed with two additional features on the DVD and Blu-ray: In addition to a 24-minute "Making Of" by Hannes Rossacher there is a slideshow of 60 photographs by Tine Acke, the "Life" is underlaid with the song.

There are not many rock and roll and culture icons made in Germany, but Udo Lindensberg is one, and certainly one of the most colorful.
