The 11th installment boasts a typically impressive line-up; a dream team of artistes and producers from the deeper, funkier reaches of the soulful house scene, who masterfully explore the founding tenets of the core Hed Kandi sound. Creators include AC Soul Symphony (remixed by Joey Negro), Noferini (featuring the vocal gusto of Jocelyn Brown) and Blaze (remixed by Ashley Beedle). Among the talented female vocalists are Michelle Weeks and Ann Nesby, both working in collaboration with one of Stereo Sushi's favorite producers, DJ Spen, to slick, spine-tingling effect. The Purple Music and Defected labels are showcased with sounds from Jamie Lewis, Sergio Flores (remixed by the Muthafunkaz) and Quentin Harris, Mood II Swing and Osunlade, all making considerable contributions to the high level of soulfulness on this release.
