Last year Fierce Angel launched the year with new artwork and one of the hottest CD titles of the year Fierce Disco II. This year it’s back and it’s hotter than ever !
The album has just finished being mixed and has gone into production, the album will be out on 3CD and Download on March 30th. Once again our stunning cover art is provided by the legendary Jason Cook and features our own stunning Fierce Angel Claire Brown.
The album kicks off with the first Fierce Angel artist release of 2009, the completely exclusive Eric Kupper mix of Forgiveness by the Wamdue Project. There is also an exclusive on a brand new track by house music veterans Degrees Of Motion and two club monsters involving the Freemasons, their own track “If” and their remix of Funk Fanatics “ Love Is The Answer”. Fierce Angel favourites The Bassmonkeys serve up one of their finest tracks to date with “Purple Haze” and we take off to Norway for a slice of pure disco from The Albino Superstars and then to Japan for the amazing “Rise Over “ by Natsuyo. Towards the end of the CD two classics “JJ Tribute” and “This is Your Life” get reworked by 7th Heaven to stunning effect and the album closes with Verde’s cover of the massive Chris Brown track “Forever.”
CD2 commences with two immense Italian anthems “Dirty Road” and “Weekend Love” and then returns to a tried and trusted club classic with The Outsiders “ Keep This Fire Burning.” Cahill turn in yet another club anthem with “**** Shooter” and hot new act the White Knights deliver a complete exclusive with “Replay.” Further on the Soul Avengerz and Angie Brown rework a huge classic with their version on “Someday.” CD2 closes with newly remixed “I Begin To Wonder” by JCA and a superb cover of the classic “Naked In The Rain.”
CD3 takes things a bit deeper as we explore a deeper, vocal house sound that has elements of the progressive sound and dare say it a little bit of trance !!!! Too begin with Chris Lake follows up his epic “Changes” with the equally huge “If You Knew,”
A track that many missed last year was the amazing “Shining Star” by Get far and it sits well beside “Love Leaves No Scar” and Ercolas’ “Every Word.” Future summer anthems are provided by Sunfreakz and Meck and DC feat Sam Obernik provide a true house anthem with attitude. Another Fierce favourite is Laurent Wolfs’ “No Stress” and a touch of funky electro is supplied by Thomas Gold’s mix of the new track by Asteroids Galaxy Tour. The CD closes with two anthems by our very best friends from Vicious Records in Australia, Bucci Bag hasn’t even surfaced on a commercial release as yet and the Potbelleez give the Killers a run for their money in the house / rock crossover stakes!
It’s Fierce Angel’s 17th release as the label goes from strength to strength even in these difficult times. Don’t forget ithe album is out on March 30th in all good stores on 3CD and on download from all good sites. This one has been a labour of love and we hope you enjoy.
