In 2000, nearing her goal, she prepared her second album, working with artists whose styles were as diverse as their nationalities--Kid Loco (France), Mum (Austria), Mighty Quark (Norway) and Olaf Hund (France)--only this time it was Louise who methodically selected the pieces and helped produce them. After meeting and getting on well with the Musiques Hybrides label, she released "Blue Lagoon" (with Olaf Hund) and "Tellement" with Kid Loco, two songs that mark her transition to a new style, more personal and experimental. In 2001, she finished her work at Musiques Hybrides with Léonard de Léonard, who oversaw the production of her eponymous album "Louise Vertigo", released by Delabel on September 18th--and Louise's career took off. Her pure, elliptical writing style serves to highlight emotion (the blues remains her principal influence). Her writing draws on the oral tradition, with fairy tales often providing the framework for her songs, while her themes of existential inspiration explore the mysteries of the Psyche, the unconscious. Her texts and compositions alternate with music by recognised "electronic" talents such as Kid Loco, Roudoudou, Olaf Hund, Rubin Steiner and Baccuzzi. With help from newcomers on the musical scene such as OB One and Léonard de Léonard, the album opens up a world of new sounds.
