HinweiseGenre : Instrumental Progressive Metal
Country : USA
Year : 2008
The fourth album from Georgia's Canvas Solaris represents a new period in the band's development. 'The Atomized Dream' sees them morphing from a trio to a 5-man lineup, with founding members Nathan Sapp and Hunter Ginn joined by new bassist Gael Pirlot, further expanding their lineup with second guitarist Chris Rushing and full-time synth maestro Donnie Smith. The band's direction has clearly diversified as a result, with tracks like "The Binaural Beat" and epic closer "The Unknowable and Defeating Glow" showcasing a variety of new ideas and textures they had previously only hinted at. Progressive, complex and deeply textured, this is Canvas Solaris at its absolute best.
