Lyon based symphonic Black Metal act DESTINITY came into being during July of 1996. At this stage DESTINITY comprised of vocalist Mick, guitarist Zephiros, guitarist / keyboard player Morteüs, guitarist Jim, bass player Benn and drummer Tyraël (Chris). A 1998 demo 'Enigmatic Forest' triggered DESTINITY's signing to AMI Productions for the debut album 'Wepts From The Sky'. The 'Supreme Domination Art' album would follow, initially released by Plaza Records and later picked up by the Malaysia based Psychic Scream Entertainment label. Signing to the Adipocere label DESTINITY issued the January 2003 album 'Under The Smell Of Chaos'. The record, featuring new lead guitarist Lord D.D. and which included a live video track recorded at Salon de Provence in April of 2002, witnessed guest contributers Akaias of AGATHODAIMON, Julien of BENIGHTED and Kohle from CENTURY. Chart was subsequently added to the line up as new bassist as Benn prioritised his other acts RAVENDUSK and the Sumerian Metal band ANKSUNAMON.
Under the banner 'Days Of Suffering' the band allied themselves with ENTHRONED, SETH and AGATHODAIMON for a spate of European dates in April and May of 2003. That November Hrafnagud was inducted as new bassist as the band entered Sonovore Studios with FURIA guitarist Mickael Vallesi acting as producer for 'In Excelsis Dementia'. Lord D.D. exited after these recordings.
DESTINITY underwent a change of direction with the September 2005 album 'Synthetic Existence', adopting a distinct Thrash Metal stance, the group now labelling itself as "Thrashened Extreme Music". The record was crafted between July and August that year with producer Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark and saw Zephiros resuming his lead guitar position. Upon competion of the album both Hrafnagud and Tyraël were excused of their duties. Further evolution saw Morteüs switching from keyboards to drums. David was drafted on bass.
