WOODS OF YPRES recorded a cover of BATHORY's 'Lake Of Fire' for a tribute album entitled 'A Tribute From The Hordes To Bathory' released by Black Goat Productions. David Gold is also active with WILL OF THE ANCIENTS.
A debut 2002 release, 'Against The Seasons: Cold Winter Songs From The Dead Summer Heat', was recorded at Spectre Sound Studios and featured vocalist / guitarist Brian Mcmanus and bassist Aaron Palmer. Subsequently Steve Jones joined on guitar whilst Connor Sharpe, a veteran of NORTH and ARCHEON, took over bass. The group suffered a mass defection of members in the midst of recording the 2004 album 'Pursuit Of the Sun And Allure Of The Earth' for Krankenhaus Records, leaving only David Gold and keyboard player Jessica Rose remaining.
WOODS OF YPRES had their track 'The Allure Of The Earth' included on a 2006 Cyclone Records compilation album, issued only in Japan "as a free gift from the Canadian Metal scene".
