: Jointments and piano work." That about sums it up, but are they good? Luckily I picked up on this album up out of my gigantic pile.

Blessed begins with "The Tragedy", a song that doesn't even hint at the power The Pax Cecilia has. That will come later. For now we are given something you might expect from The Dirty Three. Strings, piano and lovely quiet vocals usher you through this 10 minute opening track. "The Tomb Song" starts out about the same pace until they get about half way through, then all hell breaks loose and the "metal" side of Pax rears its head. When they finally get into the heavy, they really get into it. Witness the heaviness of "The Progress". The can even tackle the epic song as well. "The Water Song" is an overwhelming 12 minutes but it's worth taking the time for. The guys manage to create quite the dynamic landscape within this moment in time. They leave you in peace with "The Hymn", a very quiet track accompanied by an acoustic guitar and some harmonized vocals. wilden Gitarrensoli von Pat Rabid, der das Griffbrett seiner Sechssaitigen gehörig malträtiert. Auch das mittelschnelle gezockte 'Precision Devastation' mundet ausgesprochen gut und wird von einem fetten Riff vorangetrieben. Neben dem bereits erwähnten Rübenschwenker 'Skull Splitter' wird wahrscheinlich auch der sehr eingängige Titeltrack 'Forever In Leather' zum künftigen Bandklassiker avancieren. Lediglich das schnelle, aber irgendwie zu durchschnittlich arrangierte 'Straight To Hell' (mit einem Refrain, der sehr stark nach dem alten DESTRUCTOR-Track 'Smash Your Skulls' klingt) überzeugt nur teilweise. Am Ende läuft "Forever In Leather" jedoch mit dem sehr starken Highspeed-Track 'Pounding Warriors' souverän auf der Ziellinie ein.

Die Endabrechnung sieht folgendermaßen aus: "Forever In Leather" knüpft nahtlos an das starke Comeback-Album 'Sonic Bullet' an und toppt dieses sogar! DESTRUCTOR drücken insgesamt ordentlich auf die Tube und liefern mit "Forever In Leather" eine ausgesprochen heftige und starke Scheibe ab. Die Produktion, für die BREAKER-Gitarrist Don Depew verantwortlich war, ist rundum gelungen und klingt ausgesprochen druckvoll. Fans von geradlinigem und brutalem Achtziger-Power-Thrash, der ohne Schnickschnack auskommt, werden mit "Forever In Leather" bestens bedient werden. Reinhören ist Pflicht!hen reaching the masses is imperative. Their debut album welcomes the easy listener to kick back in a world that is almost never cooler than strolling on Ash Ave.”

Wand. Na ja, nett das alles, aber wer brauchts? Das ist eine von diesen
Bonusbeigaben, die man wahrscheinlich einmal anhört, schmunzelt und gut ist. Ich
habe es nur deshalb dreimal gehört, weil ich eine Rezension schreiben wollte.
"The Bottom Half": Ein gutgemachtes, nettes Rockalbum voller ur-amerikanischer
Musik. Wer schon "Safety In Numbers" gut fand, der kann hier ohne Vorbehalt
zugreifen, denn "The Bottom Half" ist allemal besser.tana ect. you are sure to get a big kick out of this fantastic album. Can’t think of any other band that has such a great potential. I think it’s fantastic what the Herlihy brothers have achieved with their new album.
