Jyväskylä melodic Metal band. LEVERAGE was manifested by guitarists Tuomas Heikkinen and Torsti Spoof. Initial demos utilised the services of Kimmo Blom from URBAN TALE. Heikkinen and Spoof then formulated a band unit involving BROTHER FIRETRIBE singer Pekka Heino, bass player Pekka Lampinen, of tribute band LET'S EPPELIN, drummer Valtteri Revonkorpi, of the TIMO RAUTIAINEN & TRIO NISKALAUKAUS band, and finally Marko Niskala on keyboards. A further set of demos, seven songs simply titled 'Promotional CD', recorded at Spoof's own studio, were executed in mid 2005, scoring the band a distribution deal with Playground Music Scandinavia and a management deal with Elements Music. LEVERAGE then entered Studio Audio on November 4th to craft their debut album. In April 2006 'Inferno' magazine offered an exclusive two track taster EP. Further valuable media was gained when the song 'Superstition' was chosen for background music to the televised Hockey World Championships.
LEVERAGE's August 2006 album 'Tides' entered the Finnish charts at number 38. The band completed work on a second album, 'Blind Fire', in October 2007 for issue in January 2008. The same label re-released 'Tides' in parallel with two added bonus tracks.
