A cult Melodic Metal band. Frontman MICHAEL BORMANN previously worked with JÜRGEN BLACKMORE and LETTER X and achieved a third placing in a TV vocal contest on the German TV channel RTL during 1996. Bormann also has credits with BONFIRE and THE SYGNET. Also featured in the initial line up, originally billed as TAX, was ex-MAD MAX drummer Axel Kruse, guitarist Dirk Bormann and THE SYGNET bassist Michael Müller. With a switch of titles to JADED HEART the band cut their debut 'Inside Out' for the Long Island label. Strangely for this outing JADED HEART credited their singer as 'Bomann' and not Bormann, possibly due to international notoriety afforded to Nazi war criminal Martin Bormann.
Shortly after recording keyboard player Chris Ivo was added to the ranks for tour work which saw supports to both GLENN HUGHES and MOTHER'S FINEST. Dirk Bormann, Michael's brother, bowed out before the second album 'Slaves And Masters' as Alex Beyrodt of SINNER guested in the studio sessions.'Slaves And Masters' proved of significant impact on the world stage and 1997 found the band on tour in Europe as openers to AXXIS and HEAVENS GATE.
JADED HEART returned in early 1998 with the third album, 'Mystery Eyes' on new label BWS. The record had already been made available to the band's burgeoning Japanese fan base in December the previous year through the Teichiku label. However, by this stage the band had no permanent guitarists with Beydodt and Andreas Rippelmeyer employed solely for recording. This situation was to resolve itself in June of 1998 with the recruitment of Turkish boen, former MOON DOG man Barish Kepic. That same year found Bormann vocalising for the CHARADE studio project.
The band signed to the MTM Music label in early 1999, recording their simply titled 'IV' album with producer BOBBY BARTH, guitarist with AXE, in Denver, Colorado. A compilation album 'Diary' surfaced in February of 2001, backed up by co-headline shows across Europe with GOTTHARD. Upon completion of these dates Chris Ivo was replaced by keyboard player, guitarist and singer Henning Wanner.
JADED HEART landed the honour of having their track 'Champion' chosen as the official theme song for the ice hockey world championships.
Bormann was at the forefront of a new act RAIN in 2000. The singer would also guest on the 2001 HUMAN FORTRESS album 'Lord Of Earth And Heaven's Heir'.
Bormann also renewed his ties with Alex Beyrodt founding SILENT FORCE. Bormann would donate his services to the GERMAN ROCK STARS October 2001 song 'Wings Of Freedom' in honour of the September 11th World Trade Center victims. MICHAEL BORMANN would issue an eponymous solo album through the British Z Records label in February of 2002.
JADED HEART, working with VICTORY guitarist Tommy Newton as producer, got back into action with the April 2002 studio album 'The Journey Will Never End'. Clad in 40s style cinematic style graphics the album bravely included a cover version of 'Larger Than Life'- originally made successful by none other than the BACKSTREET BOYS! Bormann also made time to record lead vocals for the second BISS album in a guest capacity.
During 2004 Bormann participated in the 20TH CENTURY BOYS project, a pact with another highly respected German Hard Rock singers Michael Voss of DEMON DRIVE, MAD MAX and CASANOVA. The album 'Beware Of The Rex' comprised entirely T REX cover versions. Bormann exited JADED HEART in September, being superseded by ex-SCUDIERO singer Johan Fahlberg.
JADED HEART acted as support act to THIN LIZZY's March 2005 German dates. However, with keyboard player Henning Wanner already committed to perform coinciding US dates with TRAMP'S WHITE LION the band drafted HEAVENLY and MALADAPTIVE credited Frédéric Leclercq as tour substitute.
