Sandefjord Black Metal project centred around former INFINITE DECAY member Daemon (a.k.a. Vidar Jensen), LIMBONIC ART started life as a quartet, but soon reduced to just Daemon and Morpheus (a.k.a. Krister Dreyer). The duo were promoted heavily by Samoth of EMPEROR, leading to many press misjudgements that LIMBONIC ART were merely an EMPEROR offshoot. Demos were delivered in 1995, as a rehearsal session, and a studio set in 1996. Signing to Nocturnal Art Productions, LIMBONIC ART debuted commercially in 1996 with the album 'Moon In The Scorpio', rroduced by Anders G. Offenberg Jr.at Bondi Lydstudio. Session female vocals came courtesy of Morgana (Anne Aasebø).
Vinyl versions of the 1997 album 'In Abhorrence Dementia' were limited to a mere 500 signed copies. Recorded at Pete's Place recording studio in Sandefjord these sessions saw production credits going out to Peter Lundell. Once again complimentary female vocals were employed, with Morgana & Lizbeth F. sharing the honours. The 1999 album 'Epitome Of Illusions' in fact comprised archive demos.
Nocturnal Art Productions released 'Ad Noctum Dynasty Of Death' in 1999. Limited edition variants added two bonus tracks in 'Enthralled By The Shrine Of Silence' and 'Behind The Darkened Walls Of Sleep'. The following year Dutch imprint Hammerheart Records collected together 'Moon In The Scorpio', 'In Abhorrence Dementia' and 'Ad Noctum Dynasty Of Death', plus bonus tracks, for a box set of three vinyl albums billed as 'Chronicles Of Limbo'.
In late 2000 Daemon featured as a guest on Samoth's side project ZYKLON's 2000 album 'World Ov Worms'. The following year Hammerheart Records assembled another LIMBONIC ART box set, this time the 'Limbonic Art volume 1-4' collection comprised four remastered CDs, 'Moon In The Scorpio', 'In Abhorrence Dementia', 'Epitome Of Illusions' and 'Ad Noctum Dynasty Of Death'.
It would be revealed that Attila Csihar of MAYHEM, ABORYM and TORMENTOR repute was to guest on the track 'Shades Of Hatred' found on the Nocturnal Art Productions 2002 LIMBONIC ART album 'The Ultimate Death Worship'. Limited edition double vinyl versions hosted an extra song entitled 'Voyage Of The Damned'.
Morpheus would bow in with a new project band entitled DIMENSION F3H for a 2002 debut album 'Reaping The World Winds'. Besides Morpheus DIMENSION F3H also included ARCH NEMESIS and EXTRUDE vocalist Nesmoth (a.k.a. Niclas Thomsen) and PAGAN'S MIND and TRIVIAL ACT drummer 'Mr. Thunderforce' (a.k.a. Stian Lindaas Kristoffersen).
LIMBONIC ART folded in February of 2003. The band was resurrected in 2007, announcing signature to Nocturnal Art Productions for the album 'Legacy Of Evil'.
