ROOTWATER, self described as a blend of Punk, Hardcore and Thrash, was founded during 2002 by guitarists Sebastian Zusin, a twelve year veteran of SPARAGMOS, and Yonca, NEOLITHIC drummer Pablo and former GEISHA GONER singer Maciek Taff. Rehearsal demos would be recorded that July, although the band was still without a bassist at this juncture. The line-up was finalised in August with the introduction of Przemo on bass guitar.
ROOTWATER underwent changes in early 2004 as Yonca exited to join LICOREA and Pablo too departed. Replacements would be located in guitarist Mike and former LICOREA and BIAN drummer Artur Rowiñski. The band united with FRONTSIDE, HUNTER and VIRGIN SNATCH for the extensive 'Mystic' tour of Poland in March 2007.
