Nu-Metallers FUEL attained multi-platinum status with their Sony offerings 'Sunburn' in 1998 and 'Something Like Human' in 2000. FUEL would enlist the FORTE, BLACK SYMPHONY and MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP credited bassist Ghames 'Reverend' Jones for their April 2004 US dates. Drummer Kevin Miller's dismissal in August engendered some unsavoury press, the ex-sticksman claiming singer FUEL frontman Brett Scallions had been "lip synching all year".
Miller duly forged FOSTERCHILD in union with singer Danny Beissel, ex-OCTANE guitarist Brian Quinn and former FREAK bassist Eric Leonhardt. Brett Scallions quit the band in early 2006. He soon re-emerged, joining the highly touted "supergroup" CIRCUS DIABLO, in the bass role, alongside former THE CULT, DOHENY and CAMP FREDDY bassist Billy Morrison handling lead vocals, THE CULT guitarist Billy Duffy and former THE ALMIGHTY frontman RICKY WARWICK.
In May the remaining FUEL members announced they were in discussion with 'American Idol' finalist Chris Daughtry as a potential new frontman.
