Michele Luppi (vocals), Olaf Thörsen (guitar), Andrea Torricini (bass), Andrew McPauls (keyboards), Mat Stancioiu (drums)
VISION DIVINE was assembled by erstwhile LABYRINTH members vocalist Fabio Leone and guitarist Olaf Thörsen (a.k.a. Carlo Magnani), debuting with an eponymous album. The relationship between LABYRINTH and VISION DIVINE is complex as besides Leone and Thörsen's involvement keyboard player Andrew McPauls (Andrea De Paoli) on keyboards and drummer Matt Stancioiu also cite LABYRINTH credits.
VISION DIVINE bassist Andrea 'Tower' Torricini lists credits with TRINITY OF STEEL, METAL KINGS and as session performer for Speed Metal band SHADOWS OF STEEL. Besides VISION DIVINE, Torricini also operates the Power Metal project band WONDERLAND in league with his ex-SHADOWS OF STEEL colleagues and former LABYRINTH drummer Frank Andiver. Thörsen would also guest on the 2000 SKYLARK album 'Divine Gates' and on IVORY's 2003 offering 'Prophecy Of A Dream'.
For the third VISION DIVINE album 'Stream Of Consciousness', issued in April 2004 through Scarlet Records, the group replaced Leone with Michele Luppi. This record would be signed up with Metal Blade Records for an international release. The ambitious album comprised one hour long song divided in 14 chapters. The band toured Italy to promote this release throughout May with BEHOLDER as support.
2005 witnessed the arrival of solo venture MICHELE LUPPI'S HEAVEN. The 'Strive' album, released via Scarlet in July, saw the VISION DIVINE frontman striking out on an AOR path, aided by studio gusts guitarist ALEX DE ROSSO of DOKKEN repute, Maurizio Solieri of VASCO ROSSI and band colleagues Olaf Thörsen and Oleg Smirnoff.
A brand new VISION DIVINE album for 2005, 'The Perfect Machine', would see production credits going to Timo Tolkki of STRATOVARIUS.
Michelle Luppi would participate in an "all star" performance at the 'ProgPower' event at Earthlink Live in Atlanta during September, headed up by noted Norwegian vocalist JORN LANDE, involving Zak Stevens of CIRCLE II CIRCLE and ex-SAVATAGE, Lance King of PYRAMAZE, Pasi Rantanen of THUNDERSTONE, Mikkel Sandager of MERCENARY, Michael Eriksen from CIRCUS MAXIMUS and guitarist Mattias "IA" Eklundh of FREAK KITCHEN.
VISION DIVINE pulled in new bass player Cristiano Bertocchi, ex-LABYRINTH, for a series of South American concerts in September. However, these shows were cancelled just beforehand, as the band was en route in the USA to play the 'ProgPowerfest'. In October 2006 Michele Luppi announced the formation of a new band unit involving former DARK LORD and DOKKEN guitarist ALEX DE ROSSO, drummer Bob Parolin and bassist Roby Galli.
The band had the tracks 'La Vita Fugge' and 'Colours Of My World' included on the 'ProgPower USA VIII' DVD compilation in 2007. On January 29th VISION DIVINE entered New Sin Studios using STRATOVARIUS guitarist Timo Tolkki once more as producer for the album 'The 25th Hour'.
