ABANDONED are Thrashers hailing from the Darmstadt / Frankfurt area of Northern Germany. The group was assembled in the Autumn of 1999 by guitarist Holger Ziegler, a local scene veteran of such outfits as SINUS, OBSTSALAT, LUNATIC DICTATOR, KALÖGENA, GOOD VIBRATIONS, ELYSIAN FIELDS, RECKONING, COURAGEOUS, RAWBONED and BÖSE DEATH, together with lead vocalist / guitarist Eric 'Kally' Kaldschmidt. Ex-SLAM and MINDLESS DRONE man Konrad Cartini enrolled as drummer in 2000 and the Summer the four song 'Forcefed' demo was recorded. Over the following two years ABANDONED's work ethic would result in no less than 300 gigs to their credit. In late 2000 Günter Auschrat, a former member of OUT OF ORDER, GRACE and REVENANT, assumed the bass position.
ABANDONED signed to Dockyard 1 Records to issued the 'Thrash Notes' album.
ABANDONED entered Kohlekeller Studios in late January 2007 to curt new album tracks. The group contributed their cover version of TANKARD's 'Face Of The Enemy' to the tribute album 'A Tribute To Tankard' included as a bonus disc on the AFM Records TANKARD release 'Best Case Scenario: 25 Years In Beers'.
