Cardiff Progressive Rock outfit THE REASONING was formulated during August 2005 at the hands of MAGENTA and ERASMUS credited bass guitarist Matthew Cohen together with vocalist / guitarist Dylan Thompson. They would be joined in succession by vocalist / keyboard player Gareth Jones and, in July 2006, former KARNATAKA singer Rachel Jones. In September Vinden Wylde joined the band on drums.
THE REASONG prepared an album, 'Awakening', for 2007 issue through SCS Music. MARILLION's Steve Rothery donated a guest solo to the track 'Within Cold Glass'.
