Lamer Winkel Gothic Metal act DARK FACES was founded in 2000 with a line-up of dual lead vocalists Eugen Müller and Katrin Löffler, guitarists Franz Perlinger and Werner Ziegler and keyboard player Martin Mauerer. Before long Andreas Berlinger of ENCYCLIA had replaced Ziegler and another ENCYCLIA member, Franz Obexer, had assumed bass duties with Michael Gigl taking command of drums.
In 2001 Perlinger was replaced by the SAMHAIM credited Christian Mahr. DARK FACES also installed a fresh rhythm section of bass player Jürgen Butzbach and drummer Christian Lohberger. However, the following year these latest two candidates were superseded by Bernd Heigl and ex-LOST LEGACY man Clemens Pecher respectively. This formation crafted the January 2003 ten track, self-financed album 'Visions Of Darkness'.
