Hailing from the western suburbs of Melbourne, SUPREMACY is a Wiccan themed, all-female Symphonic Metal band formed by the Marks sisters vocalist Jadi-Anne and guitarist Monika Dee in the late 80's. The group made its first impressions pursuing a Thrash orientated direction with the inclusion of two tracks on 1995 compilation albums issued through Def Records. The song 'Dear Diary' was also featured on the 'Metal from Melbourne' video compilation. Concerts in 1996 found SUPREMACY actively involved in under age alcohol free events organised by the Australian police as part of a youth suicide prevention scheme. The following year the band's debut EP, entitled 'Short End Fuse', emerged on the Metal Warriors label. Musicians employed by the siblings for these recordings would be bassist Kath Ramon and CRIMSON FIRE drummer Domenic Pinto.
A second offering, the 'Blessed Be' album recorded by Trevor Carter at Studio 52, saw release in 2001. Taking on all new new line-up, including sisters Sara and Maria Ashton together with violinist Marcela Koldova, SUPREMACY adopted a Gothic stance to their music in 2002. SUPREMACY's 2003 'Angel' EP featured a guesting Tobias Sammet from EDGUY and AVANTASIA. Bronwyn Bird of TRIBAL CLOWN supplied drums.
