Previously known as ZEUZ. Florence based ELDRITCH have propelled themselves to the forefront of Italian Progressive Metal. Featuring ex-NIGHTINGALE bassist Martin Keen, ELDRITCH debuted with the demo tape 'Eternal Mission' followed on by a further demo effort 'Reflections Of Sadness'.
ELDRITCH also gained the honours of winning a "Battle of the bands" competition and had their track 'Killing Dolls' on a subsequent compilation album. Four tracks from these tapes found their way alongside more recent material on their debut album 'Seeds Of Rage'.
During mid 2001 vocalist Terrence Holler and keyboard player Sean Henderson convened a Hard Rock side project with WHITE SKULL guitarist Nick Savio dubbed VICIOUS MARY. Terence Holler also deputised for WARCHILD for live work in December and donated backing vocals to the 2002 ICYCORE album 'Wetwired'. In 2003 former keyboard player Oleg Smirnoff was found to be working with SHINING FURY.
ELDRITCH's fourth album, 'Portrait Of The Abyss Within', was released in May 2004 through Limb Music Products. With bassist Lisa Oliveiro opting out to prioritise her other act ICYCORE the band drafted John Crystal as replacement.
ELDRITCH completed work on their sixth album, 'Neighbourhell', in June 2005, recording at three different venues, Syncropain, Bigwave and Eldritch studios. The album emerged in February 2006. In April, ELDRITCH made its North American live debut at the 'Chicago Powerfest 2006' event.
The band soon engaged in writing sessions for their next opus, announcing a provisional title of 'Blackeneday' in September. ELDRITCH entered Bigwave studios on December 1st to begin recording. Laura Scappini of IN MEMORY aided on backing vocals. Ray Alder, of FATES WARNING, REDEMPTION and ENGINE, and Nicholas Van Dyk from REDEMPTION featured as guests on the song 'Broken Road'. In February 2007 the record was mixed by R.D. Liapakis at Music Factory studios in Germany and then mastered by Christian Schmid.
Announced in early March 2007, Terence Holler was found to be involved with FOGALORD, an Italian "all-star" epic Heavy Metal project fronted up by SYNTHPHONIA SUPREMA and TRAGEDIAN session keyboard player Dany All with guitarist Gabriele Palermo from TRAGEDIAN and Frank Andiver, ex-LABYRINTH, WONDERLAND and ORACLE SUN, on drums.
