Although based in Slovalkia HAMMERHEART are proud purveyors of NWoBHM styled Heavy Metal. The band came together in 1994 with a line up of Denis Belácik, Mark Estocin, bass player Jan Šintaj and drummer Martin Bartánus. However, in February 1996 Shisho took over on bass, featuring on the demo ‘When Dark Dreams…’ the following year.
Bartánus stepped down in early 1998 and Mario Zvara, an ex-member of WALKYRIE took his post. HAMMERHEART would then gain exposure with a track inclusion on the Metal Age compilation ‘The Grimoire Of Exalted Deeds’. Support gigs included notable successes with ALICE COOPER, SAXON and SODOM.
In October of 2001 HAMMERHEART was hit a significant blow with the exiting of both Estocin and Zvara. The band was soon patched up with the induction of guitarist Ian Glorian and drummer Adrian Ciel, both former GLORIAN members
