HinweiseFounding member, Tarvo Valm, recently returned to Estonia after a rock n' roll voyage that took him to Los Angeles California for 5 years. Upon his return he found that he had a stockpile of material he had been working on and needed to find an outlet. After helming a local band with a buzz on the LA scene Valm wants to continue that drive.
In the spring of 2004 The Human Ground was born. Beginning as a studio project Valm got together with some friends to work on the music. Sven Varkel helped him to find Pille Rand for the vocals and Valm invited old friends Raivo Piirsalu on bass and Marko Atso on drums to make things happen. The HG slowly came to life. In the beginning of the summer they started rehearsing and on July 16, 2004 they played the Hard Rock Camp, the biggest metal festival in Estonia, for hundreds of head banging fans.
They are currently recording their first full length album which will bring some new energy to the Estonian metal scene and be able to reach beyond. Keep one eye open for The Human Ground creeping into a town near you!
