Nazareth ist eine im Jahr 1968 gegründete schottische Hardrock-Band.

Zusammen mit anderen Bands der ersten Hardrock-Generation wie zum Beispiel Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep und Black Sabbath war die Band maßgeblich an der Prägung des Hard Rock beteiligt und legte auch einen Grundstein für den Jahre später aufkommenden Heavy Metal. Ihre bekanntesten Alben sind aus dem Jahr 1973 Razamanaz und Loud ’n’ Proud sowie Hair of the Dog aus dem Jahr 1975. Die einzelnen Bandmitglieder waren auch in zahlreichen Soloprojekten tätig. Mit knapp 60 Millionen verkaufter Alben weltweit sind sie zusammen mit den Simple Minds die international bekannteste Musikgruppe aus Schottland.
