Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.1, The New York Studio Legacy Series?, is a professional sample engine for creating lifelike drum tracks on your computer.

Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.1 is a complete overhaul of the original dfh Superior engine with the same sound quality, attention to detail and musicality that has made the original Toontrack Music drum sampler line what it is.

Superior Drummer 2.1 has been re-developed for optimized use with e-drums with more effective use of sample layers and much improved loading times. It includes custom MIDI played by legendary session drummer Nir Z accessed through the all new customized MIDI engine and arranger EZplayer pro, also features stand alone capacity through Toontrack solo.

Superior Drummer 2.1 has been fitted with, 5-band EQ, high and low pass filter, compressor, gate and transient designer filters. The interface is reminiscent of EZdrummer with its simple handling and lay out but gives its user layer upon layer of in depth features to create the ultimate drum track.

Pat Thrall, Neil Dorfsman and Nir Z have between them over the past three decades worked with artists as diverse as Meatloaf, Celine Dion, Nick Lachey, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, Beyonc+, Bj¸rk, Kiss, Joss Stone, Genesis, John Mayer and Chris Cornell.

New Features:

Support for alternating kicks (Metal Foundry SDX).
On-screen warning when total Mem exceeds the Memory Usage Limit.
New factory presets for layer limits, Default can be recalled.

Bug fixes:

AmbCorr now works for individual Mics and is saved and restored.
Bug that caused occasional crashes when applying a layer limit preset on a multi-core CPU.
Various changes regarding the loading of sounds as a consequence of a GUI action.
X-drum pictures are now reset when projects are loaded.
a Bus to another Bus to its left should no longer lead to issues with the right channel.
Fixed a bug in MIDI Alias reading that mainly affected reading of X-Drum presets.
More of the MIDI mapping should now be restored when applying a X-Drum preset.
The preset naming pop-up no longer acts on Return. Pressing OK is required (avoids crashes).
Sidechains from pre 2.1 projects are now restore properly.
Setting the path to Sounds should now works using the root or Sounds folder on PC too.
Having an unauthorized Sound Library as default should no longer cause authorization issues.
