Sorenson Squeeze komprimiert Filmdateien auf ein Minimum, ohne dass die Bildqualität oder Tonqualität zu sehr darunter leidet und vor allem ohne dass man sich umständlich in die verschiedenen Einstellungsparameter einarbeiten muss. Sorenson Squeeze überzeugt daher vor allem durch die einfache und unkomplizierte Anwendung.

Mit Sorenson Squeeze lassen sich neben QuickTime Filmen auch Sorenson Spark (Videoformat für Flash) und MPEG-4 erzeugen. Will man z.B. QuickTime Filme direkt in Flash einbinden, lassen sich diese mit Sorenson Squeeze bereits beim Import komprimieren, um die Flash Dateien so klein wie möglich zu halten.

Sorenson Squeeze komprimiert die Ausgangsdateien zu 56k, 100k oder 300k Streaming, kleinem, mittlerem oder grossem Progressive Download sowie LAN-Transfer oder CD. Auch der Einsatz verschiedener Effekte wie z.B. Kontrast ist möglich. Dateien lassen sich auch direkt aus DV-Kameras und von Audiodateien importieren.
